Monistat 3 is very similar to the
Monistat 1 range, not surprisingly the product
is designed to treat your yeast infection over
3 days instead of 1. Monistat 3 is designed to
releive the external itching and burning
sensation which is the result of a yeast
infection. Each Monistat 3 pack contains the 3
ovule inserts and 3 applicators and the cream.
Monistat 3 contains Miconazole Nitrate Vaginal
Inserts (200 mg) and Miconazole Nitrate Cream
(2%), the main ingredients which sooth the
itching and burning.
Monistat 3 claims that a high percentage of people
who use this product will see their yeast infection
curved although they have no evidence to back this
up.
Anyone using this product should read the
instructions very carefully. The use of tampons and
other feminine products is not allowed and there is
a specific criteria people must clear first. It
also necessary to have received a formal diagnosis
from your health care provider before using

if you are sensitive! I am pretty
sensitive to anything, not just on
my vagina and the although the
treatment did a good job at first,
the infection returned very
quickly. I would only use this
product as a last resort". |

soothing the itching, burning and
dryness I get from my yeast
infection and in my case it was
enough to allow me a good nights
sleep for once! Sadly, the relief
is only very short lived and 5 days
after the treatment I was

Our stance on topical treatments is - only
use them if you need extremely quick relief
from unbearable symptoms. This is because you
are effectively only masking the underlying
symptoms and whether its 1 day, 1 week or 1
month, the symptoms will return. This product
does not provide a cure, it simply provides
relief.
The manufacturers claim that in the majority of
cases, people will see their yeast infection
significantly reduced however user feedback
suggests that this may have been fabricated. We
would strongly recommend you look for less
harsh treatments which don’t risk worsening the
infection in the long run. We also strongly
suggest that you consider only treatments that
will directly attack the problem, not just the
symptoms. There is little point (in the long
term) in looking to reduce the symptoms of the
infection – you need a treatment which will get
to work on the actual problem.
Yeast infections cause different symptoms in
different people and to successfully treat them
